Meet Dr. Franco
Mental Health Counselor and School Psychologist
I love to see myself in the role of a facilitator within the therapeutic journey. I see you, the client, as having the steering wheel in hand and I, right beside you in this journey called life. I am a cognitive behavioral therapist. I specialize in issues of depression; anxiety; overcoming life challenges; relaxation techniques; grief counseling; anger management; letting go/forgiveness; conflict resolution. Aside from having my private practice for 25 years, I have worked in the Miami Dade County Public Schools in the capacity of School Psychologist and Mental Health Coordinator since 1985.
I strive to create an environment for you, the client, that is safe and warm. That is, it invites you, the client to look at issues of interpersonal relationships, family concerns, marriage issues, personal growth, etc... These issues can be discussed and looked at freely with no fear of judgment. Together we can learn new ways of dealing with situations that arise in your life; Discover new ways of solving family and marital issues; change patterns of behaviors and attain new ones; manage anger, grief and other strong emotions, etc... Together we can attain a better understanding of who you are and where you want to be. I look forward to working with you and help you find what you are looking for in yourself, your relationships and in life in general.
